Project Overview
Lady Annie Operations is situated in the Mount Isa District, approximately 120 km north of Mount Isa in Queensland  (Figure 6). The mine employs the heap leach solvent extraction – electrowinning technology (“SX-EW”) which accounts for approximately 20% of the world’s copper production.  Lady Annie is producing at an annualised rate of 19,000 tonnes per annum (“tpa”) of copper cathode and will increase production to 30,000 tpa early in 2009.

The Stage 1 construction began at Lady Annie Operations in November 2006 and mining commenced with the pre-stripping of the Mount Clarke open pit in April 2007.  The first ore was delivered to the Run of Mine (“ROM”) stockpile on June 15 and the SX-EW plant was commissioned in August with the first cathode produced on September 27 2007.  The initial shipment of copper cathode occurred in early October 2007.  The SX-EW processing plant is expected to reach nameplate capacity during the first quarter of 2008.
